Having just picked up a new bass acquisition from the brand that shall not be named, I immediately realise I need to get that bloody treble pup cover off. Can any one point me in the right direction on where to get one of the after market pup surrounds please?

Ok, so my research shows either one by Pickguardian or a version supplied by Pick Of The RIcks. Does any one have any experience with either of these Rickenbacker treble pup bezel chappies and can give me their views?

Thanks

Have you tried the bass with the cover removed? I ask because on the older models (and IIRC on some of the re-issues) the "cover" is actually part of the pickup magnet assembly, and removing it stops the pickup from working.

Try RickySounds.

There is a link on the home page for the full range of deluxe bezels.

I have one fitted to my '78 4001.
There are a few different styles, I got the one with the thumb recess at the top for the odd occasion I am not using a pick.
They certainly tidy up the look of the guitar and are not too difficult to fit.
