How to send a bass amp by courier

I've had some bad experiences with eBay and couriers recently. This guy renewed my faith in human nature

You can't just whack an Ampeg tube head in a black poly bag and hope it'll get to it's destination in one piece, I suppose. I bet it gave the courier a hernia.

Just occurred to me that given my gear trading habits as well as those of the folks I tend to trade gear with, there's a pretty good chance this box is going to visit quite a few BCers one way or another

A bit of black spray paint and some metal corners and that would be a half decent flight case. Nicely done!
