hamfist
In praise of Howards superb skills, lets have a place to show all the cool scratchplates that he makes for us. I'll start with a cracker I just got from him for my Thunder 1A He also once did this nice blue perloid one for a G&L SB-2 I had (the bass is currently owned by Thunderbird) As you can see I'm not one for the understated look. Lets see what other beauties Howard has done for us. Come one lads, sort through your old pics.
KiOgon
Haven't we done this before? gary mac
The Doc did this one for me, nothing exciting but it was much better value than having to get one from the states. wateroftyne
I imagine this one would have been a bit of a challenge... No problem for the Doc, though! Beautiful.

hamfist
the "doc" certainly seems to be able to make pretty much anything you want in terms of a scratchplate, so long as there is commercially available material to make it from. Paul S
Howard did a conversion for me of my rather tatty Fender Musicmaster, routed out and fitted a Precision pickup and made a new scratchplate for it with new Ki0gon loom, pots and knobs. Some hastily snapped, poor quality pictures of my new Mustangmaster©®™ ... Before: After: He also made a new Jazz scratchplate which was an absolutely perfect fit. My latest scheme is for him to fit a Musicman pickup into my Westone Thunder Jet in the MM 'sweet spot' rather than the current P-Bass split pup. A custom scratchplate will cover all the changes. Looking forward to that one being done. Edited October 18, 2013 by Paul S
Cat Burrito
Big fan of BillyApple's picture; here's mine. discreet
I'll play. A faux 'anodized' guard for my Custom P - itself a Bass Doc creation. ...and a classy mint number for the same bass.

Jimryan
Howard did one for my refinish and mod project. It's a squier jazz deluxe so it doesn't come with a plate, but Howard made a perfect one for me. xilddx
Horrid cut the shape to my design out of brushed gold effect blank. I then masked and sprayed it matt black and clear coated it. He also made a black ebony thumb rest for me, can you spot it? No? Good He's brilliant. Previously he made this lovely one-piece gold PG for my '83 USA Standard Jazz, lovely init!
