ML94
Hi Guys, As mentioned around on BC, I;m going to be auditioning for music colleges next year and have 2 pieces to know inside out - Blues Bossa and Autumn Leaves. I'm actually looking for some advice that will develop my playing further than it currently is at. I've recorded a very quick (slips and trips here and there) recording of Blue Bossa and a bit of improv on it. Looking for ways to develop my lyrical speaking through the instrument, how that can be achieved, phrasing and so on. Cover your ears! ambient
If you're looking for lessons from a really great bass player/teacher with a great lyrical or vocal like style contact Steve Lawson, he's living in Birmingham now. I had lessons from him for a couple of years, he's a very good teacher.
