We had a dress code - the singers can wear something colourful but the rest of us go black. I can do black vest, black sleeveless T shirt, black T shirt, black polo shirt, black short sleeved shirt with a collar, black long sleeved shirt without a collar (grandad style) but I'll roll the sleeves up, black jumpers of varying weights if necessary - varying levels of "smartness" depending on what's acceptable - likewise varying kinds of black jeans/trousers but I don't do suits and I don't do ties.

Brother!
The only person on the planet to put a tie on me was my daughter when she made one for me in nursery school. Happily she grew out of that.

Seems being drained of beer drains the colour from your bass and some blobby growths have festered on the bottom corner

Here's me sitting in a car I absolutely adore: a 1961 Fiat 600 with suicide doors. I saw it in Rome, it was in mint condition and I was in love with it immediately. I was drooling at it for a while, when a guy (apparently the owner) came up to me: "Would you like to sit in it?" Well, errr, YES!
