bnt
The only recent photo I have of me playing is a still from a video, but it’s something, I suppose: That’s the modded Harley Benton Shamberg (MP-4EB with active EMGs) I’ve posted about before. They gave me a medal for this gig, literally.

bassbiscuits
Here’s me from a couple of years ago at a beer festival in Bedfordshire if I remember correctly. I felt sick as a dog the entire gig but it went well enough.

It has a a LF filter, variable Q and volume for each pickup then master volume, pickup selector switch and an LED brightness control. Can be used in mono, or individual pickup outs. Pretty simple to use once you get used to it.

How do you find the Gibson compared to Yamahas. Dave
Bassfinger
Me round my friends house, posing with my then new bike, trying hard not to look out of breath and sweaty after the 3 mile uphill ride. I do have a couple of me playing but can't seem to find them on this device, so this'll have to be a placeholder. Edit: Found them. Me with the band posing for a FB photo... Me in the studio laying down my tracks. The Eagle eyed will note how I chose to go DI. Edited January 7 by Bassfinger

Dave I have had 1000’s of basses, 50 of which have been Yamaha BB’s. 🫣 the size and “ars3” of the ripper is very similar to a BB, the horns are in slightly different positions. sound wise it’s comparing apples and oranges. both have their jobs…and they live in harmony in the rack. 2

Like the look of the Gibson but you dont see them very often and never a chance to try one before buying it. What is the neck like ? Not a big issue as you tend to get used to almost any neck after a while. Dave

Sort of halfway between a jazz and a P.
