I honestly feel naked without them. playing without them feels very strange now. I can't actually play happily with bare hands, I have a fully developed glove fetish. He does most of our photos, here's a promo one by him: I'm on the left of course. Chris, that last pic is a little scary if I'm honest, you look like it suits you a little too well. haha

Do you remember a '70's kids TV show where there were puppet spiders animated by people with black gloves (finger bobs?). You could do a whole bass/spider puppet show type thing. [/quote] Honestly Dave (less the cost of the u-retro) the bass cost me less than £300, for that money (and there are others around for similar outlay), they are seriously good bargains (thru neck, fantastic build quality, highly comfortable, even came with a hard case!) - get yourself one! (you won't regret it & even if you do you'll be able to move it on without taking a hit)
Dave Vader
If I had £300 and could part with any of my current crop of 4 to make space in the cave of instruments, then I wouldn't even hesitate, but my self-imposed rules are self-imposed rules. Unless I'm going to use it a lot, i can't have one. And I'm only playing fretless with my new band, I have 2 fretted basses sitting in cases doing nothing already. Tempting though...
