cwbass Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 (edited) Hi I'm unfortunately having to downsize my collection of all things bass, so the Charvel must go It's a 1986 model in blue. I would describe it as fair to good condition cosmetically, as it has a couple of marks to the body and the inevitable chip on the point of the headstock! It plays beautifully well though, and is extremely versatile tonally, with the active P/J setup. I also have it's original hard case to go with it. I'm located near Gatwick, so if anyone is able to get to me, then I can set up an amp for you to try it out, but if not I am able to ship at a very reasonable rate! I will upload some photos later today/tomorrow. Thanks Edited January 6, 2015 by cwbass

cwbass Posted December 2, 2014 Author Posted December 2, 2014 Hi guys I got cold feet before, but I've decided to put this back up for sale! The same price as before - more than happy for anyone to come down and thump some low notes out with it
Hutton Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Seriously my friend you're not going to sell this without some pictures.
cwbass Posted December 2, 2014 Author Posted December 2, 2014 Fear not, they are on their way once I get to a laptop
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 How much for the cat? Any trades?
Kiwi Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Gosh, I had a go on one of these in metallic black cherry back in the early 90's and I liked it, despite all the pointy 80's ness of it. Growly, low action and versatile.
SingleMalt Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Open to any trades? I always need more Charvels
cwbass Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 A man should never be without a Charvel! Unfortunately I have to downsize though, so I'm looking to sell only sorry. Definitely open to trades on the cat though - high maintenance, temperamental, expensive to run and delicate, so ideally looking for a vintage valve amp in return... Yeah it's exactly the same model as Rex's from that era, except his was black IIRC? Beautifully low action, really fast neck, growly ballsy sound and 80s as hell!! So a perfect metal bass for those that way inclined! But equally versatile enough to have served me well across many genres. I'm starting to regret this a lot...!
cwbass Posted January 6, 2015 Author Posted January 6, 2015 Now sold, pending usual... Gutted to play it for the last time last night!!
