Deep Thought
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I give you exhibit A-Mott the Hoople's 'Roll Away the Stone'. A damn fine song ruined, (adopts Foghorn leghorn/Fred Eliot voice) I say ruined by a ridiculous middle 8 ('There's a rockabilly party' etc. etc.) Know you of any similar examples of good songs murdered by ill-considered sections? (I'm actually hard pushed to think of any more).
Jase
Slightly off topic....but I prefer Dylan songs played by other bands....so does that mean Dylan murders his own songs?

Buzz
Well, slightly on a tangent, but I heard a cover of Coldplay's The Scientist ruined by some foreign accented woman warbling all over it.
aceuggy
Just to stay off topic really. The scissor sisters version of the Pink Floyd classic Comfortably Numb is the pits.

velvetkevorkian
Most White Zombie songs kick off awesomely, then fall apart in the middle.

Guy Pratt really shows his class in the DVD.

ZMech
This must be the worst cover ever done by a 'proper' group. I especially like how they shorten it by two minutes so that it can fit into the minimal attention span of the idiots they hope might buy it. NancyJohnson
I actually like that Mott The Hoople track, but then I really like Mott The Hoople. It think it's this one that if you You Tube it there's a clip of them on TOTP and the actress who plays Marlene in Only Fools And Horses is 'singing' backing vocals. Insofar as a track ruined, while I'm not particularly a big fan, No Doubts' Underneath It All is a great until this frankly ridiculous West Indian gurning comes in. Ruins an otherwise good song. Even ruins the video. P
