rubis
Started reading it today at work. It's just a paperback as far as I'm concerned. Seems quite good so far though, definitely wordier than than Shaun Ryder's!

icastle
I shan't be reading it. I'd rather undergo elective surgery.

tedmanzie
He didn't share my musical opinion that the first Smiths LP was passable in places, and then it was downhill all the way!
That's because your musical opinion in this instance was entirely incorrect.
tedmanzie
Not that anyone in this thread seems that bothered, but for what its worth I am reading this book and it is an interesting insight into the mind of Morrissey. However having said that, it is very disappointing that most of the writing is concerned with Morrissey's complaints and 'setting the record straight'. The Smiths, obviously the highlight (the only light?) of Morrissey's output, are brushed over in relatively few pages, with precious little insight into the band or the music.
