Hm, going on about how it hurts my neck doesn't sound like good marketing? I've got the later-style CV P and it's just dandy - or maybe I've just got a superstrong neck? -\

And aren't they nearer £300 than £400?

The seller probably has a back problem which means even 'average' weight basses cause pain and discomfort.

But no - it's not good marketing. He could probably have worded it a bit better.
