andyonbass Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 (edited) How about an Ibanez AGB 140 or AGB 200 if you want a short scale? I will be putting an AGB 140 in the for sale section soon if that is of interest . chris_b Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 There were many basses that were unique to the 1960's but there is a reason why very few of them made out of that decade. If you want a 60's look, and still sound good, check out a fiesta red Fender Precision and a set of flats. Quote
BigRedX Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Mosrite or clone. There's a modern Aria version (as well as a 60s one) although it has inappropriate J-style pickups. Hallmark make one that's more authentic, although it's not on their current website (you can find photos of them on the Mosrite Forum). Quote
artisan Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 (edited) Gibson SG bass or Epiphone EB3 / EB0 Very 1960's & cool looking too. Edited October 23, 2013 by artisan Quote

gsgbass Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Hagstrom, Mosrite, and Vox were some of the working 60's basses. Gibson EB series were biggies too. Quote
dodgnofski Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Can't recommend Fender CIJ or MIJ '62 RI Precisions highly enough - superb instruments - outstanding build quality & value!! Quote
