Probably OK, really, although on low-end stuff like this, quality control can be a bit variable - you might get a great one or you might get one with a neck like a banana & razorwire fret ends.

So worth a punt for a hundred or so notes then?? I just want a 5er for messing around on and for taking to lessons so if it get's knocked it don't matter. Any other suggestions for a low end 5er??

This Squier 5 string P is starting at £99. Last time it was on it was BIN £135 and it only choked up to £72 (reserve not met)

I'd wager the Squier would be a lot better than any of those cheapy eBay specials.

Bugger that's a nice un, it;s a bloody pity I'm off on me hols tomorrow for a week so I won't be keep an eye on it :) I'll have to have good look on my return. Any other suggestions??

The squier P has a neck like a baseball bat. Nothing against squier or anything, they're pretty decent, but i play a fiver and i couldn't even get my hand round the p 5er.

I bought two ES-175 copies off the Strativarius seller....top bloke to deal with. Great after sales service.

The build quality is a bit ropey in places but they are both good, usable g*****s. I had a problem with the bridge on the first one I bought and he sent me out a replacement immediately.
