DWeekes90 Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Hi Everyone, I have decided after much deliberation to part ways with my Peterson Bass Ace. For those that may be unfamiliar with the Peterson name, Peterson Amplifiers were hand built in England in the late 80s and early 90s. They hold a special place in history for their guitar amplifiers but also made fantastic bass amps. It really is a brilliant amp, Solid mahogany cabinet with top notch electronics. Also included in the price is a very useful flight case and the original Peterson FS2 footswitch. This allows the compressor, attack and mid cut features to be activated mid performance. I'm looking for £400 for the whole bundle. Pickup only from Willesden Green, NW London. A collection of pictures can be seen on my Flickr page. Thornybank Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 And the biggest question of all... Peterson used the same box for the 1x10, 1x12 and 1x15 format. What size speaker? The 1x10 is an AMAZING upright combo. The 100w is for 4ohm out. Native driver is 8ohm, so not full 100w output. He brought out the 150 to give some more oomph. I love 'em. Simple design well made. Sound great. Had loads....
DWeekes90 Posted October 25, 2013 Author Posted October 25, 2013 Ah I see. Thanks for the clarification! It's the 1x10 speaker in this combo and on the occasions I've used it with an upright it has sounded great!
HazBeen Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Great little combo amps these are, good luck with the sale
Thornybank Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 The chicken head knobs are a useful change.
DWeekes90 Posted October 29, 2013 Author Posted October 29, 2013
Is this tube or SS?
The combo is solid state. Some more detailed tech specs for this amp can be found on this page. http://www.jimbastian.com/jim_bastian_049.htm
Beedster Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Thanks, given it's in a flight case which I assume will protect it pretty well, would you post if I arranged the courier? Chris
