SlapbassSteve
Only thing upgraded there is the price... £279 for what looks alarmingly like an £79 Squier Affinity Strat. £200 for a new guitar that's been smashed to bits and rusted..? That doesn't bother me though, what bothers me is that people are willing to spend this much on stuff like this
Ashborygirl
Not familiar with Raygunrelics but that there is an example of someone who has no clue what an aged guitar looks like. Hideous.

JapanAxe
No real-world guitar would pick up that kind of wear. Unless it had been used to dig the garden with.
Jonnyboy Rotten
Raygun relics could be a side project or pseudonym of the 'master guitar bodger' who has been responsible for previously locked threads! :/

itsmedunc
It would seem that heavy relicing (if there is such a word) is in vogue. Some interesting customer reviews too - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FENDER-SQUIER-STRATOCASTER-MIJ-JAPAN-AGED-RELIC-CONDITION-MUST-SEE-/321234257156?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item4acb0dc504 Edited October 24, 2013 by itsmedunc

discreet
I'm not averse to a good relic, but once again this is way over the top. In my view a relic should: 1) Look like proper wear consistent with playing the guitar over time, and 2) Not look like it's been dipped in a vat of dog poo then buried in the garden for a year. That is all.
