ras52 Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Sneak peek at the new Retrovibe... vaguely reminiscent of something I've seen before, but not too much ;-) Quote

tommorichards Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 and followed. Thanks. Last one to see is the EVO i guess. Quote
tommorichards Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Im also liking the look of that zygote more and more. Quote
ras52 Posted October 23, 2013 Author Posted October 23, 2013 I'm a sucker for an unmarked fingerboard. Might have to trade in my RV4 Quote

Bassassin Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 On the whole I like what Mr Retrovibe does so I don't want to be uncharitable. However: shonky Vigier Passion knockoff with a grotesque tumour and the control cover from a nasty plywood 70s SG copy. Sorry. Jon. Quote
Bassbadger Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Don't think that'll fit on the TRC! Still, each to his own. Quote
tommorichards Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Im guessing the 2 tone controls are passive? Quote

throwoff Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I have to say, I don't like the headstock... The Evo looks a great bass just that headstock screams BCRICH or other metally guitar to me Quote
charic Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013
A Carlmanwickazzenbacker?
Quote
Bassbadger Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013
I have to say, I don't like the headstock... The Evo looks a great bass just that headstock screams BCRICH or other metally guitar to me
I hear what you're saying. In fact the headstock shape came from trying to make a 2up-2down version of the 4-in-line Vantage headstock. I basically reflected the slightly hooked (hawked?) beak of the Vantage headstock and shortened the lower one slightly to balance the upper and lower bouts on the body. That headstock shape then became the template for the upper and lower bouts on the EVO model. Glad to hear you like some bits though! Quote
JapanAxe Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Sorry but nothing there for me to like. Except humbuckers. Quote
lee4 Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Love the look of the EVO. Perhaps a double 'bucker version should be produced(Warwick $$ pup placement?). Quote
Dazed Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013
A CarlThompsonMusicmanWarwickJazzenBacker?
Yeah just what I thought 😄 Likey though Quote
Gust0o Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013
Love the look of the EVO. Perhaps a double 'bucker version should be produced(Warwick $$ pup placement?).
Now that would be an idea. I'll admit, I am quite intrigued by the Evo - the Miller version looks particularly clean. And, again, it's a good price point to give something a try. Quote
