Yes, there're times when a wooden neck is nice, but graphite just seems to have more growl and punch than anything else! Congrats! Quote
steve-soar Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Welcome to Basschat, home for the twisted, gassed-up, always on the look out for something different, insane bassist. That's a nice Modulus you have there, if you don't mind, how much did you get it for? Steve. Quote

I love the shape of the King Bass, that carved top is amazing. I have a Series II replica, that I had built by Keith Bennion of KGB Music in 1986. At the time Rob Green didn't offer his basses in left handed options, so I had the next best thing I could think of. I'll start a thread in Gear Porn, to show some pics. Sorry to Hijack this thread, just got carried away. Quote
artisan Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 beautiful bass, but to many strings for an old fashioned fart like me Quote

Has the 3 band Bart EQ and Bart Pickup......and was the actual featured bass on the Modulus website. Might still be there.......but their site seems to be down for now. Quote

GreeneKing Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 (edited) I think your Modulus Flea is quite stunning too I'll hunt a photo. I bought mine from Marcus and it's received one more mod since I've had it. Marcus had it refinished by Dave Wilson who finishes the Sobel range of acoustic guitars. It's not a flamed finish but nevertheless it's beautiful and I prefer the more understated look myself. It has a Badass II fitted and has the Lane Poor pickup that also has the Flea motif I've since replaced the Aguilar 3 EQ with an ACG02 filter based unit and the result is stunning as Homer (Alan) will no doubt testify as he had a go today.
