and go to the Vintage Drum Kits page. See how hi-hats cam from low-boys and snow shoes, toms came from chinese tack drums, bass drum pedals of 1909 (1909!) with a tang sticking out to hit a cymbal at the same time.

Found it very interesting, thought others might too.

Indeed, thanks for posting. Even I'm not old enough to have seen these trap kits used. We've come a long way in percussion, thankfully..!
