Ba55man
I inherited this Bass from My sadly deceased brother, I believe it is a '68 model. I have been using the Bass for a good while and actually gigged it in the early '80s (I was only borrowing it then). Here she is awaiting a good clean up. St Marys, Billinge '81 L.E. Studio, Hindley '83ish The Stag, Orrell '84ish Happy memories, great days what ever happened to them.........
Rayman
What a beaut. I fancied one of these at one point although I couldn't afford a Hofner these days. I noticed Amy Winehouse's bass player using one at Glastonbury.

Ba55man
Unfortunatley shes showing her age, and until I can find someone to bring her back to life and be able to afford it she will have to be stored away.

Dr.Dave
Trip down memory lane. First bass I owned was a Hofner violin bass - bought in 1978 and it was getting on a bit then. Cost me £45 from a secondhand shop in Leeds. I sold it about 2 years later for £75. Nice to see it and I hope you get round to getting it road ready again. Did you catch the Haigh gig I really like the Hicks I think they have the chance to do something Big.
beerdragon
I've noticed Paul Maccartney's strap set up is a bit weird, it seems to go behind the neck somehow. i had a better pic but lost it somewhere, this isa bit grainey. lukeward2004
Apart from the fact Paul McCartney played one, what is the appeal of these Hofner jobbies? Ive never really taken to them.
Ba55man
Luke if we all liked the same things life would be pretty boring, I suppose its each to there own.
