Folks, I'm trying to track down some information about the Yamaha Attitude Deluxe. Looks like this: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f126/yamaha-attitude-deluxe-fs-973975/ Google search throws up virtually nothing. Anybody got one or played one? All information welcome.

'Fraid not, but doesn't look as nice as the Attitude being sold on here. Looks too different. Have a bump anyway

Yes - it's pretty dissimilar to the Sheehan Attitudes. I'm told they were made in Taiwan.

I have one in blue.
The back of the headstock does say Made in Taiwan.

As far as I know the pickup has three split coils and the fiveway selector gives you options between these coils.
Good bass, the frets are a bit worn but it's my Precision bass of choice.

Sounds like a cool pickup. Does the choice of one, two or three coils make a lot of difference compared to placement (ie bridge or neck) or does it just get more aggresive, if you know what I mean?

To be fair, I'm not sure which positions select the different coils.
I can't find a manual online, maybe I can email Yamaha about it.

The sound does change though, increasingly noticable compared to a series/parallel switch you'd think it be.
