Johnm93 Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Just joined, so saying hello. I am a beginner, having had some lessons over the last year or so. My bass is a Satellite, which I am told is a 70's Japanese instrument. Currently an 'at home' player looking to expand. John. Quote
BassTractor Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Welcome, John! (btw, it's not called "expand". It's called "turning the volume knob clockwise".) bert Quote

Johnm93 Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 Hi thebigyin - yeah, light it isn't but has a nice sustain, at least. Quote
thebigyin Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013
Hi thebigyin - yeah, light it isn't but has a nice sustain, at least.
You'll find a lot of those old 'Jap' copies on the heavy side....but still good as most stuff that comes out of Japan. I'm playing a mid 80s (I think) Jap Fender Jazz but it's quite light and has a lovely tone.....a tad high on the action but nothing that hinders it's playability it's a tad battered but it's my pride and joy at mo'.....as I've just got back into playing again after a break....I bought a nice Squier cv Bass a couple of years ago but sold it after a few months.....but missed the Bass and hopefully make a big effort this time to get gigging again maybe next year....Cheers Bob.
