ezbass
http://www.staffordshirenewsletter.co.uk/News/Stafford-Cimax-Blues-Band-founder-dies-31102013.htm A great band with a really talented line up, Peter's gold plated guitar was such an icon. Not a great week music.

police squad
Saw him at the '83 Reading festival. He was excellent. Great band with him too. RIP
Japhet
Sad news. Here's a couple of tracks from a gig I was at God knows how many years ago. Livingstone Brown doing his thing on the bass by the way. PH was a very talented bloke. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oK9a-yMluag http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFoaHJnQzS4
essexbasscat
I played in the support band for the Climax Blues Band a number of years ago. The whole band were really friendly and took the time to praise each of us personally. A loss to the community RIP
3below
Another one of my youth's musical inspirations. Another loss to the world of music.

ezbass
One of the best gigs I ever went to was to see Jeff Beck at the Hammersmith Odeon during the 80s, on the There & Back tour. Who were support? None other than the Climax Blues Band. If I'd've left after their set I'd've been well pleased, Mr Beck was the spectacular icing on an already very good cake. Half way through a song they segued into Hi Hi Silver Lining and back again, brilliantly comic. They should've been bigger.
