Preamp for a 4 knob Precison Bass

Hello,

I'm looking at building a precison bass special relic but I still want the active circuitry. The Fender pictured has an active circuitry but still has a standard routing with a battery compartment.

Does anyone know of a 4 knob preamp I could get to fit in standard precision routing with a battery compartment?

Alternative to the most excellent John East gear might be an Audere Classic. These are very compact indeed.

Yea I could just use the control plate! Not sure why I didn't think of that. Ideally I would like one with no switches but I could be persuaded.

Those are compact! And reasonably priced as well, I'll have to have a look into them thanks.
