Thunderpaws Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 So, playing away with headphones in the livingroom laast night and noticed my blue window isn't blue anymore. Anyone else had that issue? Purely aesthetic, as it still sounds beautiful. Will now find out if my Genz Benz warranty has any worth. Quote
Graham Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 The light on mine often doesn't come on when I switch the power on, normally comes on eventually though when it feels like it. It's a known issue with the LED module apparently, mine's been like it since I got it from Shep about a year ago and not had any other issues with it. Might be worth seeing if it can be fixed under warranty, otherwise I think it'll be more money to repair than it's worth for a purely cosmetic fault Quote
Freddie75 Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Same happened to me. Can be repaired under warranty or in my case I asked for the LEDs so I could get them soldered in myself. As you have said, it's purely cosmetic - sound not affected. Quite common from some forums I have found online. Quote

Not that I have the skills to solder them in, but at least I have them! Quote
Thunderpaws Posted November 2, 2013 Author Posted November 2, 2013 Emailed bass direct today, they replied, fender will phone me on Monday to arrange a pick up. Hopefully it won't be away too long. Quote
Muzz Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Mine does it occasionally, I've stopped worrying about it - the lights come on after a short while, so I really cant be arsed to do anything about it... Quote
matski Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Yeah, mine does it too. Usually the blue LEDs come on after a while - and once they are on, if I turn the amp off and then straight back on again they still work. Dunno why though... Quote
wateroftyne Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 There was a dodgy batch of LEDs... Quote
bridge Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Mine has gone out too, on my recently aquired 2nd hand 900, contacted Fender, within one hour had a reply asking for my address to send new ones out F.O.C. Good service in my book Quote
