Copper Shielding

Hi All I want to shield my pickguard and control cavity would this stuff be suitable? Yes ideal - you can get wider tape or even sheets - less joins 1m would do a P bass I reckon.

Just to clarify to I cover the whole inside of the control cavity ie just stick the shielding over the wood and everywhere inside ? Thanks

yup. If you want to be [i]really[/i] thorough I'd do the pickup cavities as well.

Probably need to solder that stuff, but you don't need to do whole seals just enough its all electrically connected, I usually do a smear of solder where three pieces meet.

I used some aluminium tape that I found in Aldi a couple of months ago - Aluminium is really good at magnetic shielding too!
It's supposed to be for pipes or gutters or something of that ilk, but it's really good at bass cavities as well.

I recently used that seller. The delivery took 3 days, not one, but it was free delivery so you can't complain really.

They do copper tape with conductive adhesive for £4 for 4 metres.
