Thunderbird
Hi Guys do any of you know a UK seller that sells block inlay decals? I have tried ebay but the are mostly USA sellers? And are these block inlay decals any good? as I wasn't sure whether they would rub of and look really shabby with playing. Thanks in advance
iconic
Jacomo on ebay....they are a japanese firm. they come by airmail and takes around 4 days tops....ive got 5 sets and they are very good. remove the A and D strings and use the E and G to align them. i promise you will be impressed, my first set have been on for nearly a year and look new. I've never liked the look of my Variax but it plays and sounds so good, and so versatile that it defo a keeper, so it's time to refinish it to something perdy

Jonesy64
I bought a set of dots for my little lads acoustic after reading this topic. I ordered through EBay on 19th and the package arrived today. I think that is excellent service from him.

I've just ordered two sets of Jazz blocks, hopefully won't be too long then, sometimes orders from Japan take forever.

skydivepaul
As promised before and after pics. The blocks were pretty easy to install just follow the instructions that come with the blocks. I slackened off the A & D strings and moved them out of the way so I could use the E & G as a guide for the blocks from fret 1 to 12 The blocks from 12 - 19 are a little trickier as they are smaller. All in took around an hour to fit them pretty pleased with the result Before: https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-SyhAb0M5lF4/UsAMGw6yc9I/AAAAAAAAAHU/LYBL8op7EwA/w614-h818-no/P1090095+%2528768x1024%2529.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-j7nkhvMvmuc/UsAMGdTzvKI/AAAAAAAAAHI/xEs88zYFxnk/w614-h818-no/P1090096+%2528768x1024%2529.jpg After https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-RAPm6pOa_eE/UsAMIqEqdKI/AAAAAAAAAHg/tarXLZJ2cEo/w614-h818-no/IMG_0590+%2528768x1024%2529.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-TWU9AAXF87A/UsAMNJlOn2I/AAAAAAAAAHw/jBSHEovUZRA/w614-h818-no/IMG_0586+%2528768x1024%2529.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-NcI7zxqOr6s/UsAMK2UloXI/AAAAAAAAAHo/MtLNY-VEhm4/w1024-h768-no/IMG_0591+%25281024x768%2529.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-0FexPQlgMjA/UsAMHkl5chI/AAAAAAAAAHY/poMMJV-_msc/w1024-h768-no/IMG_0594+%25281024x768%2529.jpg Edited December 29, 2013 by skydivepaul

[/quote] Thanks I am pleased how they turned out The pups are standard fender modern player pups You can have them in humbucker mode or single coil with the rotary switch. Sound best in humbucker mode IMO but in single coil mode they really pump out some growly bass

xilddx
I got mine from Jockomo81 today after seeing this thread last week. I used to use a geezer in the USA but he was a little flaky and also got his Roman Numerals wrong (told me he'd sold hundreds too ) Here are some pics, they look ace, really lovely! Easy to apply too. Edited January 3, 2014 by xilddx
Maude
That looks really good xilddx, headstock looks fab. My blocks turned up this morning, that's been a week from Japan over New Year period, not bad at all. I've now got to resist ordering loads of different inlays and pimping everything, less is more as they say .
