Lowfrequency90 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 My old curbow, in fair condition - couple of nicks as shown in the pictures. Bought used, treble knob is a bit loose and input jack a bit dodgy so could use a once-over. Pickup only as I don't have a case - i'm based in south east london. Open to offers. alyctes Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 What does it sound like? (Not after a sound sample, just a couple of words
Conan Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 (edited) I used to have one of these in 5 string. The sound is bright and modern, but the three-band EQ gives a wide range of tones - especially if you dial in plenty of mid. The "slap switch" scoops it all out if that is your taste! But for this price you can't go wrong. Very nice, playable basses although they feel a bit odd if you try to play it in a sitting position - play it like a Spanish guitar though, on your left thigh rather than the usual right... Pinball Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Sounds like a good deal to me. Now if it had a "bart" and 5 strings I'd have it. GL with sale.
