RandomBass Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Clearly a quiet news evening for me. For some bizarre reason during Truckers on BBC1, the following question popped up in my befuzzled head: where do Speed Knobs get the name from? You know the things - vol/tone knobs numbered from 1 to 10, like the ones on my two BBs. Couldn't find much on t'internet, apart from someone selling Speed Knobs, with numbers up to 11. Now there's loud. So - where does the name come from? Is it because they are so easy and quick to use, what with the numbers clearly showing the setting? Geoff Quote
Billy Apple Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 I think it's cos they're bigger with a large flat edge, so you get a bigger turn quicker. My missus doesn't like my speed knob though. Can't think why. Quote
BetaFunk Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Speed Knobs? I thought they were the spotty herberts that wheelspin outside the local burger outlet in their Saxos. Quote
