Ahhhh, concerto no.2. I spend hours a week on this. I've changed my fingerings about a billion times so far(no understatement).

Also i hear Tom Martin is going to japan to play this on bottesini's own 3 string Amati which is over there. Exciting stuff.

Funnily enough I was looking at Rinats fingering as I noticed he ends up a lot on his 2nd finger. The finger navigation of the piece isnt something I have begun to tackle though !

Bozo's a bit of a beast. What was he like to study with?

But Jacqueline Du Pre's version will always be top for me. Cello but amazing. And if your struggling with vibrato try and emulate her's, it doesnt get much better or musical.

Bozo is such an incredible person and teacher. Every few months he used to fly in and teach every bassist in the college for a few days. It was long individual lessons, as well as group lesson and he was incredible to be around. Seemingly endless energy and talent, but a really kind person too. He is a hugely inspiring person!

This thread needs some new life so here goes :) I cannot imagine being able to play so long in thumb position as this.
