Hutton
Got this used Ray yesterday and am trying to work out what it is strung with. They are roundwounds of some description. Anybody help?
CHRISDABASS
My first guess would be rotosound swing bass. Could be wrong though
geoffbyrne
You'd think they'd be EB.s, wouldn't you? G.
mr zed
Whatever it's strung with - it looks very nice indeed. Congratulations on your nbd. Edited November 9, 2013 by mr zed

Roland Rock
The best colour combination for a stingray IMO. Lovely
Hutton
The reason I'm really asking is that I like the strings and thought I would replace them, when the time comes, with the same set. Unless of course anyone has any other suggestions?
RandomBass
Beautiful instrument - a cracking colour combination of black/black/maple. Delicious.
stingrayPete1977
I tend to use whatever my pro player friend gives me these days
Dingus
Rotosound Swing Bass are fine sounding strings , but be aware that they tend to eat your frets pretty quickly, especially if you're a hard player. The are plenty of similaly bright sounding steel strings on the market that are a bit more gentle and more consistant from set to set , like Elites Stadium , Dean Markley SR2000 or D'addario Prosteels . Lovely bass, by the way. Still my favourite Stingray colour combo. Edited November 9, 2013 by Dingus
badboy1984
The red cotton thing on both end leads me to think is Rotosound.
