Is Jermaine Jackson an ambidextrous bass player, do they even exist?

just been watching Don't Blame it on the Boogie, Jacksons, following on the from the other thread...below or above delete as necessary!

I thought Jermaine Jackson played bass when the Jacksons played live (or in vids when not ) and was more than just a tidy player, but in the first vid he is playing a right handed Fender but as a leftie...in the next video he is playing a right handed & very 80's pointy bass (Charvel?) and playing right handed, unless that's not Jermaine playing at all in one them

He doesn't look as though he's doing a lot in the way of actually 'playing' in the first video. His hands don't move much, if at all. Certainly when you compare it to the second video anyway.
Maybe it was Joe's idea so it made everything symmetrical.

The first one is a mime job obviously. I don't think fans would have been overly picky about the parts not being live. The second one appears more live and Jermaine could certainly play, although props should go to Stevie Wonder for writing the tune and for Nate Watts's insanely good slap part on the original record. Monstrous playing.
