Scott S
Hi guys, Can anybody tell me what kind of Roscoe bass Jimmy Haslip plays (specifically, it's the one he's often seen with in photos with a transparent amber finish, and what looks like an ebony fretboard)? Also, what are the differences in Roscoe's LG and SKB models? Cheers.
chris_b
The Jimmy Haslip model is an LG-3006 but these days I've also seen him playing an SKB 3007. Edited November 12, 2013 by chris_b
pantherairsoft
As above, he owns both an LG and an SKB, 6 or 7 strings. It appears odd as he is lefty but plays it strung the wrong way up, as he learnt to play on an upside down right handed bass - So his low B is at the wrong side of the fretboard! Roland Rock
From his website: "My main Bass Guitar is my LG3006 built for me by Keith Roscoe and crew at ROSCOE GUITARS. I also play the fine basses made by Mike Tobias at MTD BASS GUITARS. In my stable of basses are bass guitars from Yamaha International, Pat Wilkins Basses, Innerwood Basses, Wyn Basses, and Mayonnes Basses." chris_b
I'd also checkout Damien Langkamer for some amazing Roscoe action.
Budbear
The only differences between the Roscoe Century, LG and the SKB models are body size and shape, and the pickup placement. Wood, finish, electronics, hardware and all other options are the same for all series.
