Mute switch Pedal/Circuit breaker cable

I was just wondering which was better to have for silent bass changeovers a mute pedal or a circuit breaker cable? I like the idea of both so what is out there guys that is worth looking at? I have only really seen murder one mute pedals or Planet waves circuit breaker cables. and to be honest I have never bothered with them before so I am not really sure what other brands or models are worth looking at.

Have you got a tuner pedal? If so it most likely mutes the output when you tune.
