mattbass6
OK, I know I've been doing a lot of ummming and arrgghhing but this is it, I'm definitely selling this bass. As stated in an earlier post, I bought this in September 2012 from Mark at Bass Direct. It is in brand new, shop condition even though it has been gigged and rehearsed - I am über careful with my gear. The truth is, the Lull is just going to sit there doing nothing so I would rather someone played it. I have attached the pictures again and the tech spec from Mike Lull and Bass Direct. It really is a wonderful bass and comes with the Protec gig bag / case plus all the documentation. It is currently strung with D'Addario strings and I will throw in another set as well. If you want to know anything else, just drop me a line. I won't be taking this off sale again so, grab a beautiful US custom hand made bass today and all for £1700. I will deliver but at the buyers expense or, you are more than welcome to come and collect from Cardiff or meet within a 100 mile radius of Cardiff if that suits. Definitely no trades please. Take care. Cheers, Matt. Chiliwailer
I feel your pain with the 'do I sell it or don't I sell it?' scenario. I've just been through that with a '66 Precision Bass which I was very sad to let go of, though I knew that I absolutely had to in reality. Now it is finally sold I feel a relief to be free from the dilemma! I guess it's easier when you know they won't be played as much as they deserve, so with that I'll say good luck with the sale, looks like a very sweet bass. mattbass6
A '66 P Bas? Wow! That must have been really tough to let go? The decision to move this on was finally made yesterday but it felt the right thing to do. I just know that this is now going to sit there and I just can't allow that to happen. For now, I have all the basses I need and don't need this wasting away when someone could be really enjoying this beauty. You are right too, it will be easier to reconcile when it is gone to a new home. Thanks for the lovely post and I'll go hunting for your post now to see that '66 Take care. [/quote] Thanks mate, though i suppose after you read the post for my for sale '66 P Bass you felt less sorry for me when you realised I still have another that I'm keeping! Honestly, it's a great shame I'm not after a 5, that's a lot of bass for the money you're selling there and I would have jumped for it. mattbass6
Hey Chiliwailer, I saw said bass and then saw what you have left. Yeah, I don't feel so sorry for you now ha ha ha ha ha Thanks for the posts matey, they made me laugh. Best of luck with everything and catch you again here soon. Take care Ben, I hear you buddy but I do prefer my P bass V. It suits my needs better and it's the one I play the most. The Lull is better in every way, honestly but, I just default to my standard US Fender P bass. Mad isn't it? Anyway, hope all is good with you on the oceans of the world and would be cool to catch up one day bud. All good here by the way and I'll be in touch. Take care my friend

mingsta
Not surprised to see this one go. If I didn't already have a PJ four stringer in the stable I would have been in like Flynn!
Happy Jack
I bought an identical bass a few weeks ago to go alongside my Mike Lull P5. These are just absolutely lovely instruments, and ridiculously light on the shoulder.
mattbass6
Cheers guys, it was tough decision but I really need some new studio gear and this being the most expensive of my basses, was the one that needed to go. My Fender P bass 5 is just perfect anyway and gets more of a look in if I am honest, so I'm happy either way. Cheers though
