YouTube content invisible on iPad and iPhone?

In the last week or so I've noticed that all YT content seems 'invisible' on my iPad and iPhone.

The content is there but I just can't see it. If I click on the white space it loads and plays but still nothing visible.

YT is running fine on all other sites so just seems to be a BC issue.

All working fine on my main iMac though.

I press and hold down on the space where it is and it appears.

What I do wish though is that people would put some text to say what it is, so that if I don't want to look I don't have to.

Agreed, I don't bother viewing unless I know what it is and think it might be interesting.

Probably been guilty of doing the same myself, mind

If I do that I get the sound but no visual content

I'm using a kindle and just see a grey box. Embedded video works on other sites fine.

Interestingly, I've found over the last few days that if I go to the YouTube site it crashes my browser every time yet I can see YouTube clips on here just fine.

I will have a dig around and see if I can find an answer.
