Electrical fault?

I've just noticed that if I touch the pole pieces on the pick up on my P bass, there is a very noticeable buzzing noise coming through the amp. A less noticeable buzzing occurs when I touch the bridge or the metal jack sleeve on my lead. I have recently replaced my pickups and my soldering isn't briliiant but everything is connected as it should be.
Any ideas before I electrocute myself?

It sounds to me as though you have a poor earth connection somewhere in your wiring.

Perhaps try resoldering the earth connections and see if that resolves the problem.

As above.... but if it persist and you have access to the pole pieces from below, attaching strips of conductive (incl glue) copper tape along them then earthing them with wire should fix it for sure.
