Dingus Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I'm trying to post an ad for a few sets of brand new but very slightly used strings in the "Other Musically-Related Items" section and when I hit "post" it keeps telling me to state a price , despite the fact that I have already stated my incredibly reasonable price both in the heading and in the text itself. Am I doing something wrong , or is this just another example of how I am being unfairly victimised by Basschat because of my outspoken views on Victor Wooten? Quote
discreet Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Did you also put the price in the 'Price or Trade Value' box? Quote
Dingus Posted November 18, 2013 Author Posted November 18, 2013 Yes, Mark, I did that, and it just keeps telling me to put a price. Quote

gary mac Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Try not putting an commas, full stops etc. within the price figure Quote

ambient Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 It never lets me upload photos, I have to faff about with photobucket all the time. Quote
Lozz196 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Don`t put the pound sign in that box - this caused me great irritation for a considerable time, changing this/that/everything. It was when I removed the £ that the ad "took". Quote
Dingus Posted November 18, 2013 Author Posted November 18, 2013 Ads now posted . I had to simplify the price to just the figure and not mention postage or my three sets for £30 special offer. Thanks for all the advice. Job now done. Quote
Gust0o Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Apologies, spied this late - but you're spot on as to why the software wasn't letting you post. It just wants the price - if you're trying to convey anything more fancy it needs to go in the body of the advert. Glad you got it sorted. Quote
