Anaconda basses - is a new bass company that has just launched. They are based in London and after going to the launch party they really are amazing.

They look great and sound even better. It only takes 6 weeks for a custom build as well.

Couldn't make the launch sadly but they're made by a really nice bloke. Some of the clips on Facebook are awesome, some excellent players making full use of the tones available. Well worth a look.

I played a few scales on one. There was a bit of hiss, but the range of tones definitely wasn't constricting...

Intrigued by the hiss comment. The preamp is Glockenlange which is virtually silent, definitely no hiss. I can only imagine that the hiss was amp induced rather than from the bass.

Sorry - that was just some cold-blooded punning. Just to clarify; I haven't played any scales on them, but I imagine there's no hiss, no rattle, the action will be slinky, and, um, I'll get me coat. It's the snakeskin leather jacket...

I totally missed that. Doh! Very good. I'll have to be more prepared for similar comments.

Loved the sound and the look is superb. I knew there was something familiar in the sound, that Clock preamp is amazing.

Lovely basses. Was at the launch and am currently doing the man maths about purchasing one. The tone with everything flat was awesome and small tweaks showed how versatile these basses are. All that, and Andrew is a lovely chap too :-)
