trav164
Hello all, You've probably heard this question a thousand times already, so apologies beforehand. I'm looking to buy a practice amp, I'm relatively new to bass and not planning on gigging anytime soon so I just need something for the bedroom. I normally play along to the Arctic Monkeys and similar types of music and was wondering which bass amp you think would suit the style better. I'm in a dilemma over the Ampeg BA-110 35w and the Ashdown Perfect 10 40w. I would just like to get some expert opinions. Thanks for your time, Lewis
bobbytodd
find a music shop near you and try as many amps as you can.you never know you might end up with a totally different amp
Chippy147
I'm new to bass too and only have a practice amp. I chose the Line6 Lowdown LD15, which although only 15 watts/8 inch speaker, has impressive volume. It has 3 selectable amp models onboard, as well as an envelope filter, octaver and chorus (oh and an opto-compressor). You can also save 4 presets of any/all of the above. Pretty impressive IMO for a £100 practice amp. Worth a look.
badboy1984
I personally would go for the Ampeg BA110. I've got a BA108 but i should of bought the BA110 instead. I mainly use headphone to practice these days so speaker size doesn't matter too much for me. Edited November 26, 2013 by badboy1984
