Hi

I tried using my phone in the aux in but it was way quieter than my bass, had to turn my bass down loads and then lose the impact of any effect. Is there any way I can bump up the aux in volume.

Sounds like you have a big difference in the input levels between your bass and your iPhone.

Do you have a particularly 'hot' bass and do you have the input gain switch in the appropriate position?

My bg250 combo is the same when I use my iphone in the aux socket, I guess it is more or less the same amp as the bh250
However I notice that some songs are ok and others are not. Some of the songs on my iPhone have been downloaded from iTunes, direct from cd or from iomio.
These all have differing output levels and I notice this when connected to my bluetooth radio in the car. Someone with expert mp3 knowledge may be able to help.

To add to this I use my active ibanez and also my jazz bass in the amp and that doesn't make much difference either as the bg250 has a passive / active sense to change the input level

I usually have to have my iPhone on full volume and the input gain for the guitar on around 4 for it to work nicely
