brensabre79
Is it possible that I could get hold of just a new set of vintage saddles to use with my existing bridge? does anywhere sell these you guys know of?
+1 for the saddles. It's pretty common with Fenders from any era, which is why they made the bridges like that. A lot of complicated suggestions on here. I would just get the replacement threaded saddles off eBay, you can keep the rest of the bridge. CamdenRob
Guitarpartsresource.com http://www.guitarpar...ass_saddles.htm They are in US but I have ordered from there. My package arrived inside a week and luckily I paid no VAT or duty but that is a luck of the draw kind of thing.
Thanks they look perfect... I'll see if I can get any in the UK, if not I'll go for those.

Grangur
Hmmm so it would be unlikely that a replacement bridge would be available with only three screws... I'm rather not be drilling any more in the bass ...
But if the bridge is in the wrong place there's no way a tech can fix that without filling the existing holes and drilling new ones. Sounds to me like you'd do best to use the sawn-off bolt-thread saddles.

yepmop
Thanks they look perfect... I've bought 2 sets of them over the past 6 months and they are very good. On one BBOT I had to widen the holes for the saddle screws but on my most recent, if fitted perfectly. How did Rob get on at the Gallery on Saturday?
Turns out Martin isn't around on Saturdays... I ordered up that set of saddles from the US site, apparently they have been dispatched, so I shall see how that works out. I assume I can turn them around on the screw? the set in the pic has all the saddles sticking out to the left of the annotation screw, looking at my bass I need two on the left and two on the right... I'm sure it'll work out OK.

Looks like the same ones I've ordered.
