Hello and Welcome Ed
"Check out those foam mutes doing there thing!"...
...That was an expensive sentence!.

Welcome Ed.

Among my current learning resources I'm working my way through "Bass Groove: Develop Your Groove and Play Like The Pros in Any Style". I'm greatly enjoying and benefitting from it. And if I was organised enough to be able to stick with one resource and work through it methodically, it'd be this one. In the future I'm going to be getting "Building Walking Basslines" too.

Hello and welcome to BC Ed,

Please don't apologise for being from Texas
There are many fine folk from that state
- just take the Quebe Sisters, for example :)

Hope you enjoy being a BC'er

Cheers
Marc

PS. As someone else already said "we have ale"

EDIT: And I meant to add, I'm sure there are many, many more fine Texan people out there too :)

Great to see EF as a memeber, picked up his Blues tuition book a couple of years ago when I joined a bluses rock outfit and wanted to get back to basics. My stint in the band didn't last long but I still keep the book on hand!

Sorry I'm late to this welcome. Nice to see a legend on board.

Whenever I want to see an honest review of bass gear, you're the man I trust.

I hope you're going to be a regular contributor here.

To reiterate what others have said:

I'm a big fan of Ed's videos. Even if the piece of gear isn't to my taste he is always able to provide musical, honest demonstrations in realistic contexts that are always a joy to listen to.

And often I find his riffs are good examples for use in practicing picking things up by ear.

Welcome Ed. I've enjoyed watching your vids for a while now. And please, don't stop showing me how I can keep spending too much of my gig money on nice gear.
