Graham
A mate of mine is after a six string bass and has been offered a Yamaha TRB1006 for £400 - is it a good bass and is that a decent price? I don't know much about Yamahas, or indeed 6 strings, cheers.
jhk
as a general rule Yamaha basses are always built well, and are a good buy.The trb series have a generous string spacing and should feel comfortable.Their eq systems are very useable. If eventually you don`t fall in love with these fine basses you won`t lose a lot of value because of their quality. The price sounds about right and you are getting a lot of decent bass for your money......... good luck hope this helps
White Cloud
Bargain....tell him to buy it. You cannot go wrong with Yamaha.
Chris Horton
The bass is in the right price range for that model. You get a lot of bass for your money
JwK94
Definitely, I recently paid £480 for one which is closer to what they go for second hand. Really happy with it, £400 is a steal
Graham
Cheers guys, I will pass that on - I hope he does buy it, as that way I can have a go on it
Graham
As an update, he's bought it: paid £375 delivered so sounds like a bargain. He should get it Tuesday and I'm seeing him Wednesday, so will report back when I've had a noodle.
