EssentialTension
I'm guessing John Birch.
Dingus
It's an Ibanez Musician Bass in Polar White , the model from the era of these basses between 1982 and 1986.

Clarky
I think BC'er Jigster has one of these. See here from a gig with his band Those Among Us Are Wolves (very good post-rock band, check them out) Edited December 1, 2013 by Clarky
Dingus
These were lovely basses. I had one at the time , and it sounded epic. For years before I got one , they were one of the basses I really longed for . They weighed a lot, but no one was bothered by that back in those days, from what I remember. Dingus
You must be correct:
I really wish Ibanez still made beautiful basses like this and the other great designs they had back in the 1980's such as the Roadstar. They were superb instruments at sensible prices, looking back now. Edited December 1, 2013 by Dingus

Dom in Dorset
I never had Slade down as an Ibanez sort of band, well fancy that. Edited December 2, 2013 by Dom in Somerset
Pinball
When was that Video shot then? The original must have come out in the mid seventies?
Dom in Dorset
They used to re-release it every year, looks 1980's to me. As far as I am concerned Christmas doesn't start until I hear it.
