Lord Sausage
I've just finished a Uk tour of RENT. At the after tour party the leads, Rory Taylor, band played. (54321) It consists of his brothers and his cousin, BC's Risingson on Bass. The band were great, had the audience in the palm of their hand. It's the first time i've really enjoyed a band in years without being analytical or disapointed. Risingson is a great player. Top groove, sound and note choice and only 24. It's inspired me to go back and learn a few Jamerson lines. Top bloke too we ended up pissed in a casino and even managed to chat about this place. risingson
It was a pleasure mate! At the risk of turning this into too much back slapping, Lord Sausage was playing with the house band in the musical Rent that night on fretless, superb player and an all round lovely guy, we had a blast. First time in my life I've ended up in a casino, shame we didn't walk away with much but at least it was Dan's money we were gambling! I'll see you on the next tour in Feb for much more of the same. Lord Sausage
Ha ha, it was Dan's money wasn't it! Anyway, back slapping over. Just wanted to put on a positive music experience on here. It's rare i have em. See ya in Feb, we'll see who's money we can spend...... i say Rory's!
Oh aye, all "beginner's luck", eh? Having met Risingson, I'll confirm he's a top bloke, though he's yet to gamble any of my money, I hope

Lozz196
I`m sure a lot of it is down to Liams fantastic 78 P-Bass - some of my talents must be lingering on it

Lozz196
Black, black, maple. Still miss that bass, had the best recorded sound I`ve ever had. Was just that tad too heavy for my aging back though

risingson
Love that bass. Just got my 1974 Jazz but it was just so I could have one of both from the 70's, the P will probably remain my staple.
Aye, it's the one with his biography and style breakdown etc. I only got it for the transcriptions but all that is pretty cool. Glad it's not tab as using it as a reading exercise too and it's too easy to cheat when it's there.
