blunderthumbs
Hi Guys. Anyone else having this problem? I know the flat buttons are prone to cracking and mine is showing these signs already But have any of your knobs started falling off (OOer Missus) Three of the knobs on my amp have come loose due to the little fins inside the knob breaking off.. Mine is still under warranty till June 2014 but it is going to cost me £18 to ship it off to Real Electronics (TC UK Agent) Sheffield. They will send me the knobs and buttons free of charge but they say if I take the front off the amp to fit them my warranty will be void I'm dammed If I am Going to shell out £18 to have something fixed that's still under warranty!! I have emailed TC Electronic direct but they are not responding to my emails. Great customer service Ehh?? What is stopping this from happening again when the new buttons and knobs are fitted?? stevie
The buttons on those amps are a known problem. What is it with customer service nowadays? Sometimes email is a waste of time - it's just too easy to bin. You can find the name of the product manager on their website. Phone him. Or talk to your retailer (?) blunderthumbs
The amp was purchased direct from TC in Denmark. Real Electronics Sheffield is the UK agent for TC but they want £18 for postage of the amp to them for repair. It is easy to replace the buttons but it must be carried out by REAL or the warranty is void.
tcbass94
My volume knob cracked off on my RH450, I contacted Real Electronics, and they were able to supply me a full set of replacement knobs and I was able to do the swap myself with no mention by them about voiding the warranty. They simply just slide on, without the need to take the front off. Have just recently noticed my Preset 1 button has a small hairline crack in it, does anyone have a contact for someone at TC who sorted this out before? nemesis
don't suppose you chaps have a single knob you could sell me [ for my eq ] so my RH450 can have a complete set ?. i have issues with a few of them but a single old-type tc original knob would get me through. i'm currently liasing with a chap at tc uk but it looks like a dead end. nick
Roger Eve
TC Electronics have the worse customer service I have ever encountered. That said I also need a set of these knobs, three have just snapped in half ! Andersons do them but are out of stock, any ideas, I think its a 5mm shaft.
