marcus bell Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Hey guys just wondering what's the longest you've ever waited for a bass to come back from being worked upon? I took my jaydee to John diggins around the start of may to being refurbed and a few modifications and it's still not ready, needless to say I'm missing it a bit but I know the guy is busy and I also know it'll look lovely when it's ready... Just so long the wait has been Quote
steve-bbb Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 had some quick mods to my 77 strat - job done in no time at all but spent an hour or so just chatting drinking tea - thanks very much Mr Zemaitis Quote
PlungerModerno Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Depends on the person doing the work, the work to be done, if there are 'complications' - and if you are willing to pay for emergency action. I've been lucky but then I do all the fiddling myself, so I know I can't trust myself to have it done in time! Quote
Leen2112 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I took my fretless to overwater to do a fairly simple fix in the electrics. At the time I didnt know i was to become a dad and I got it back after my daughter was born! must have been 9/10 months!! Quote

Bassman Sam Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I gave my '57 RI precision to a luthier in Macclesfield for a set up. He said it would take 2 weeks. It was over a year before I saw it again and he hadn't done a thing to it. Quote
