Musicman20
Shame you're not a bit closer as you could've tried mine. Both are fairly modern ones though. I've never tried an old T-bird.
Thanks
Musicman20
The tone I'm after is a classic 60s fat warm thump. I think if I'm honest a Hofner Violin Bass or Ric 4003 played on the neck pup would be most suitable. The Ric seems cheap compared to the German Hofners! Bankai
GuitarGuitar had a second-hand 80's 4001 in a couple of years back. I absolutely loved it but didn't have the funds and I missed out.
gsgbass
Like the Rics, the G&L are very well made. I had a couple of both, I would choose the G&L.
andysleigh
My RD artist is the best thing i bought. cuts through the mix really well, feels nice to play, is comfortable, and looks badass. theres usually someone who comments on it or its sound.
