BetaFunk Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 I always thought that Tony Orlando & Dawn were up there with ELO in the top poptastic stakes. Who hasn't shed a tear (especially after 10 pints) to Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round The Ole Oak Tree or marvel at Knock Three Times? Quote
BetaFunk Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013
I was at Dorset this weekend. Better not turn this into a mungo jerry thread. Or smashie and nicey;)
That's a long way from Twickers old chap. Weren't you just a bit homesick? P.S. As it happens i'm in Twickers tomorrow morning. Quote
flyfisher Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013
Ray Dorset's Mum was a dinner lady at our school.
During an overnight business trip to Milan, I watched Mungo Jerry play a couple of songs on some awful Italian TV game show. The following day I sat just behind Ray Dorset on the flight home. I don't think he recognised me though. Quote
KevB Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 (edited) Just for a bit of 70's nostalgia we sometimes do 'Sky High' by Jigsaw in the house band's jam session forays. We drop it down to a lower key though! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_LcZhmkg88 Edited March 24, 2014 by icastle Link fixed. Quote
