Its a 1992 .

Has a long horn?
Block inlays (no bindings)
Headstock truss access
Skunk stripe
Has 60s RI style pu to bridge earth
Vintage Open tuners
4 pot control plate with dome knobs
Bottom mounted jack
Active circuit
Ash or Alder
Clear or stripped body?
Only 8 pick guard screws,,,i just looked,my jazz has 11 excluding the pu cover !
Also just noticed a Micro tilt hole..

Thanks for that Ash,, so I am more of an anorak than I realised -:)

Typically, the seller is not a bass player,, so exempt from answering any questions

Dunno about that, the serial number puts it at 1992/1993 (I think), but I thought the US deluxes were strung through the body. I may be wrong, as I'm no fender expert, but there are mixed reviews of these 'Boner' basses.

The 'block inlays and no bindings' rosewood board looks like it's come off a 70's Japanese Ibanez or similar…

I played a 90s long horn the other day im my local shop(twang guitars).. It had closed Schaller type tuners ,2 vol and a tone , and none of the above ...

Having had a boner jazz this is confusing.

It's seems legit apart from the tuners, inlays and contols/jack.

I'm sure the standard(which I'm sure IRC this is basically, but branded as something else) didn't come in natural.
